Now I know why I prefer my 2000s music over anything else! The next time my wife says something about it, ima throw some "Techno Somatic Memory" on it OKAY?!!!
SN: your videos on the creation of your Top 8 Hairstyles was too cute!
This was such a good read! My old playlist definitely takes me to a place of impenetrable happiness! In those moments I am completely stress and worry free!
Love this read! I agree with old Playlist and most nostalgic moments being far more powerful than Advil. It's healing, even in a hyper documenting era! 💖
As someone who is currently studying/working to obtain a degree in neuroscience, nostalgia is always something I’m constantly revisiting because the plethora of ways it appears in the body. It is also super interesting to see what parts of the brain are most active depending on the feeling/s evoked by nostalgia also.
I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this read and love that you were able to coin a term for something I’ve felt for ever but was never able to actually pinpoint.
Excellent insights. An older author is recommended: Dr. Alexander Lowen. Pre-digital. Values Bioenergetic Analysis in therapy and human development. Knows that our bodies carry so much information from the past.
This was such a great read! As a therapist I’m loving the fun facts in connection to the mind & body. I am a sucker for fun x informative & This is IT!
This was a great read, DonYe! The new terminology is so creative. When I heard that song by Jay-Z, my shoulders started moving like yours. So proud of you!
